Our old friend Q is back. And he is taking the Enterprise to meet some new friends. They are not very friendly though. They destroyed Guinan’s planet 100 years ago. Guinan and Q are also old friends. Really old. They have known each other for 200 years. And they are not really friends. Brain full yet? There is still so much more to learn when we put Q Who in the Mission Log.

How long has it been since we broke the Prime Directive. Like REALLY broke the Prime Directive. Well get ready. The Enterprise is studying a system of planets, every one of which is literally falling apart. One planet turns out to be inhabited and Data has been communicating with a child on that planet. How will the Enterprise save her and her planet. Or should they? Find out when we put Pen Pals in the Mission Log.

We know that as a writer David Gerrold has always got at least one more interesting story to tell. For his return to Mission Log, we dig deep into the circumstances around the first two seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation and what led to David's departure. It's a personal and sometimes difficult look at what makes or breaks a TV show in production.

Plus we kick off a new segment by welcoming Larry Nemecek to discuss Discovered Documents from the Roddenberry archive. Visit Larry at http://larrynemecek.com

Finally, we take a moment to remember Grace Lee Whitney who played Yeoman Janice Rand.

Riker is sad because his dad is on the Enterprise. Worf is sad because he has no dad to watch him get beaten ritualistically. Troi is sad because Riker is leaving the Enterprise. And Wesley… is just so Wesley. Promotions! Grudges! Old flames! TRON costumes! It’s a family affair when we put The Icarus Factor in the Mission Log.

Captain Picard returns to the Enterprise in shuttle number five. Now they will have a matching set since there are already a Captain Picard and a shuttle number five onboard. Investigating the wreckage of a 300-year-old spaceship from Earth, the Enterprise finds a building capable of supporting life in a very unlikely place. But what they find inside is even more unlikely: a staffed and operating, mid-1990s hotel, complete with a front desk, room service and a casino. How did it get there? And how do Riker, Data, and Worf get out? Find out when Mission Log checks into The Royale.

The Enterprise has a rendezvous with its ailing sister ship, the Yamato. Sadly, it explodes and Picard takes up its mission. But the Enterprise starts suffering some of the same symptoms of the Yamato - pre-explosion. Also, they are in the Neutral Zone. And there are Romulans. And a planet with technology thousands of years ahead of the Federation and Starfleet. And still that is not everything. Tons to talk about when we put Contagion in the Mission Log.

Wesley is in love. With a girl. Maybe. Most of the time she is a girl. The rest of the time, she is not even human. Puppy love! Shape shifting! Planet saving! It is just another day on the Enterprise when we put The Dauphin in the Mission Log.
